5 Months Old!

Well, a lot has happened since my last post. Brandon and I celebrated our 5-year anniversary on March 13th! We had a great time going to dinner together while our sweet friend Elyssa stayed with slumbering Katherine. It was funny, because we went to a really nice restaurant, and yet there was a dog sitting underneath the table near us...some things in Europe you just never get used to.
We received really cool gifts from each other, as well. I got Brandon a Tissot T-Touch watch. It has a touch screen (with temperature, weather, altitude, and compass readings), which Brandon really likes.
Brandon got me a trip to the spa at the Beau Rivage by the lakeside in Lausanne. I got to pick what I wanted to have done there, and I chose a Japanese bath, face & scalp massage, body massage, manicure, and pedicure...it was wonderful!
As for Katherine, she is doing great! She got sick again last week, but she is feeling better now. She got her first tooth before she even turned 5-months old, and I was surprised that it came so early. She looks super-cute with her tooth, and now her second one is starting to appear, as well. She can sit unassisted for brief periods of time, and she is really close to rolling from her back to her tummy. She is such a joy to be around, and I can't believe how quickly she is growing up! We haven't started solids yet, but we probably will next month, so stay tuned for some "first food photos". Here are some cute new pics of her:
Katherine rooted for the Aggies during March Madness, and she was sad when they lost:
We are still waiting to decide where we will be going from here. We will let you know, hopefully soon.

Meredith, thank you for sending me some mommy advice. I think it is a good reminder about an early bedtime. Canon used to naturally go to bed at 6:00 pm (SO EARLY), but I have been trying to push it back to 7:00...so maybe that is causing all of this night waking. Tonight, I put him to bed at 6:00 to see what happens. I cannot endure 2 hours of crying anymore! Thanks for thinking of us. Happy 5 years!!
