Our hospital date

I think Meredith and I are getting spoiled with our hospital experience here in Switzerland. Last night the hospital provided us with a "date night". We went to the little cafe downstairs and they had decorated the table and had a chilled bottle of champaign waiting for us. After toasting to our new baby, we were served a 3 course meal consisting of some smoked salmon, a perfectly cooked steak garnished with mushrooms, some vegetables, and then a decadent chocolate mousse for dessert. We ate so much and really enjoyed ourselves. Usually they will watch your baby for you while you have your date, but Meredith's mom was happy to take on babysitting duty. Meredith and Katherine are doing well and will be going home on Sunday. At first we thought that almost 5 days in the hospital would be a long time, but since its almost like being in a 5-star hotel it has been a perfect start to this new life. We are all excited though to bring Katherine to her new home and start settling down.
