July-August

So I know I need to write a post about our new house and our new life in Atlanta, but first I need to fill you in on what happened before we got here.

We had Jayme come out to visit us in Switzerland before we left, and we made a trip together with her to Wengen and Lauterbrunnen (where you will notice the stunning waterfalls). Katherine is in between 8 and 9 months in these photos:

One of our last walks along the lake.A good picture of Katherine and Brandon.
Katherine up on hands and knees, although she prefers to crawl on her tummy - she likes to do "the worm".On our way to Wengen (on the train).Me and Jayme in the Lauterbrunnen valley.
There were lots of waterfalls there.
We also took a boat ride around Lake Thun.

At the end of July we left Switzerland for good and moved to the USA. We closed on our house in Georgia (pictures to follow soon) and then spent about a week in Texas seeing family and getting our stuff that we left there 3 years ago (before our move to Switzerland). Katherine is between 9 and 10 months in these photos:
Here she is at the baby shower my sisters and friends threw for us.
Katherine and her cousin Carli at the baby shower.
Here we are with the hostesses of the shower. They are so sweet!
I love doing her hair in pigtails, but she doesn't always sit still long enough for me to do them.
Brandon and Katherine on the slide at Chick-Fil-A.
My mom with Katherine and Carli.
My dad with Katherine and Carli.
Me and Katherine with my Grandma.
Us in Farwell with my Uncle Will and his family.
Katherine with my grandpa Bob. She loved the player piano!
Katherine with my grandma "Keyah" in Farwell.
Katherine loves the pool, and she went swimming a lot this summer! Here she is with Brandon and Andrew at the pool in Round Rock.
With Brandon, his dad, and his Aunt Sanny in Round Rock.

After visiting with family, we rented a U-Haul, loaded it up, and drove from Texas to Atlanta (with the help of Brandon's dad, his brother Andrew, and my sister Jayme - thanks guys!). Since then, we have been getting settled in and have even already had some guests. It took about 5 weeks for our stuff to make it from Switzerland to here, but we are just thankful that Brandon's job paid to move it for us. We are still transitioning, but we like Atlanta so far.
